Nov. 6 Leave Miami in the morning for the short flight to Havana.
Check into the Parque Central Hotel
(or similar first-class hotel). Visits to open-air markets of Plaza de Armas and Plaza Vieja.
In the evening, a welcome dinner.
Nov. 7 In the morning, after breakfast, a tour of Havana. Visits will include a walking tour of Old Havana with many 18th and 19th Century buildings. Visits to some galleries and museums.
Nov. 8 After breakfast, continue the tour of architectural and cultural landmarks of Havana.
Nov. 9 A day trip to Pinar del Rio and its Valle de Vinales in the West of Cuba as well as Las Terrazas, which is a Unesco Biosphere site.
UNESCO has declared the Valley of Viñales to be a part of world culture, and it is also a national monument. It is surrounded by pin-cushion hills which contain many caves and underground rivers.
Nov. 10 Visit Morro Castle and La Cabana fortress in Havana, as well as some other historical and cultural sites.
Nov. 11 Travel by bus to the city of Cienfuegos. This visit will include some art galleries and sugar plantations, as well as an opportunity to meet with some local artists and architectural preservationists.
Nov. 12 Travel on to city of Trinidad and visit sugar mills and botanical gardens.
Nov. 13 Start return to Havana with a stop at Varadero. There can be a visit to the former Dupont Mansion or some time at the beach. Return to Havana.
Nov. 14 A free day in Havana, with a chance to follow up on individual interests, followed by a farewell dinner.
Nov. 15 Fly back to Miami.
The tour will include all breakfasts, 5 dinners and a couple of lunches.
