Great Decisions is America’s largest discussion program on world affairs. The program provides background information and policy options for eight of the most critical issues facing America each year and serves as the focal text for discussion groups across the country. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book, and then attending a monthly discussion group. Each monthly session will address one of the eight selected topics and includes a half hour introductory video presentation.
CIR’s Great Decisions program begins Tuesday, April 18, 2017. The eight monthly sessions will meet the third Tuesday of every month from April through October and the second Tuesday of November (in order to avoid conflict with the Thanksgiving holiday) from 10:00 am – noon. Note that this year we WILL NOT offer both a morning and an evening session. If you have already registered for Great Decisions and cannot attend the 10am-12pm session, please let us know and we’ll refund your registration.
The dates of the eight meetings will be: April 18th, May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15, September 19, October 17, and November 14.
Format: half hour video with facilitator presentation and Q&A participant discussion. Light snacks and beverages provided.
