A luckless Beijinger opens an adult shop to make ends meet, sparking a sexual revolution in his conservative neighborhood.
The story is about Shunzi (played by Jun Zhao) who not only loses his job as a taxi driver – a job that he loves very much – but also comes home downtrodden to find his wife is having an affair. Out on his luck and out of his own house, Shunzi returns to his parents. After starting a rather demeaning job, he runs into an old class mate who sets him up for a deal that seems too good to be true; sell sex toys and earn lots of money quick and easily. Going into this ‘dirty’ business, Shunzi teams up with Lili (played by Vivid Wang), a new-found colleague.
Lulu’s Chinese Cuisine review: “The only real Chinese in New Mexico…?? After moving to NM from So. Cal, I was really disappointed with the Chinese food in this state. I had pretty much given up on it. I saw this place with a grand opening sign up and figured it couldn’t hurt to try, and I was glad I did. First off, you know it’s going to be good when your order is written down in Chinese by the waitstaff. I’ve tried several dishes here on several occasions, and each one has been excellent (Kung Pao Beef, Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Egg Flower Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, Mushuu, Wontons, Spring Rolls, Fried Rice…) …this is one great restaurant.”
