This is the 5th Annual Council on International Relations Fall Summit where students and faculty are invited to meet and discuss important international topics. This year, the Faculty/Student committee is opening this event up to CIR members and guests who are interested and able to relate to student learning.
We are meeting in the Jemez Room of the Santa Fe Community College on Thursday, October 24, starting at 8:30 a.m. We expect 6 – 10 schools and possibly over 100 students for multiple presentations on bilateral relations. Each school will form a team of four to five students that will prepare a content briefing on a particular country. We have selected seven countries that demonstrate the importance of a bilateral relationship during this time period: Russia, Mexico, Egypt, Germany, Israel, China and Great Britain. The teams will deliver a 15 minute PowerPoint, using maps, graphs, political cartoons, statements from world leaders, and any social media resource. This has proven to be a lively, informative, and interactive.
Pizza lunch will be provided. Attendance is limited so please reserve by Monday, October 21.
PLEASE NOTE: If additional tickets for guest are purchased please list their names in the comment box during check out.
