Journalism under Fire

Join the Santa Fe Council on International Relations in December to explore the essential connections between journalism and democracy – between truth and power. In concert with the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF), and various regional and local partners, the Journalism Under Fire media summit will offer up world-class speakers, journalists, and case studies exploring press freedoms and the turbulent dynamics of today’s media – from the global to the local, from cyberspace to campus newsrooms. Alongside cutting-edge intellectual dialogue will be photojournalist exhibits, political cartoons (and cartoonists), workshops, advocacy campaigns, virtual reality games, music, film, and food.
