The Presidents Club: Inside the World’s Most Exclusive Fraternity by Nancy Gibbs and Michael Duffy
NEW LOCATION!: At the new CIR office, 413 Grant Street, Suite D
Duffy is Washington Bureau Chief for Time, Inc. and Gibbs is a Deputy Managing Editor for Time, Inc. and highly regarded authors. The book deals with the evolution of an informal club, formalized by Eisenhower that involves meetings and consultations between former and incumbent presidents. The stories deal with post WWII history and features fascinating tales that really influenced events. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this book and I’ll look forward to discussing with you and our New Year’s book club meeting.
Change in Meeting Place! – in January we will start meeting at the new CIR office, 413 Grant Street, Suite D. For those who haven’t been by the new office location it’s just across from the Montgomery and Andrews law offices on the corner of Paseo de Peralta and Grant. We have a large conference room, more space than in the Library and you can bring refreshments.
Also if you have suggestions for future book selections, let Lee Berry know. We have a couple of other possibilities but we’re always interested in recommendations. Call Lee Berry, Book Club Coordinator, for more information: 986-8552.
