Join CIR for a presentation and luncheon with Creativity for Peace, a groundbreaking program that brings young Israeli and Palestinian women together for a three-week summer camp to meet their ‘enemies’ often for the first time. The summer camp outside Santa Fe, uses art and dialogue to introduce the story of the “other”, foster understanding and friendship, teach good communication, and build confidence and self-awareness. The organization’s mission is to train the next generation of female leaders and peacemakers in Israel and Palestine.
At this World Affairs Discussion Luncheon, a group of Creativity for Peace young leaders will discuss their personal journeys to becoming peacemakers by learning how to listen compassionately, understand the stereotypes they have been taught, and transform distrust, fear, and anger into
compassion and love. The power of each story lies in the authenticity of the speaker.
Lunch will be provided, including a buffet of summer salads, tea and cookies. Attendance is limited so please reserve by Wednesday, July 24.
