Join the grand celebration of Journalism under Fire at 6pm at La Fonda on November 14th. Following a cash-bar reception with Ron Haviv’s photo cubes and networking with conference speakers and the visiting 26 African journalists, we’ll gather in the ballroom for music from United World College’s African Chorus; an exceptional conference blessing from Aunt Ivy Smith; and speeches from the Mayor of Santa Fe and the CIR leadership team. Then we’ll hear from :
- Dana Priest, two-time Pulitzer winner from the Washington Post. She will offer some of her insight into how technology shapes the truth.
- Suzanne Kelly, CEO of the Cipher Brief and ex-CNN, will then introduce and lead a panel of experts, including Rana Ayyub (Washington Post; based in India); Matt Rosenberg (New York Times); and Alexa Koenig (University of California, Berkeley). Each will offer their thoughts, context, and experience on “how does technology shape the truth?”
