Orlando Romero, a local author, historian, and columnist for The New Mexican, is offering to cook tapas for four CIR members at his home.
Romero, who was born in Santa Fe, has written a monthly column for The New Mexican since 1998, often addressing topics such as mudslinging in local politics, historical conflicts between Hispanics, Anglos and Pueblo Indians, and casino gambling. He is retired from the the state’s history library and authored Nambé Year One, a nonfiction book that explores the history of Northern New Mexico. He has received many notable honors for his work.
