Speaker: Mr. Moreno Bertoldi, Minister Counsellor and Special Advisor to the EU Ambassador to the United States

Mr. Bertoldi will highlight the responses of the European Union leadership to the challenges facing the European Project.  Moreno Bertoldi joined the European Commission in 1990.  From 1996 – 2001 he represented the Commission as head of the political and economic section of the EU Delegation to Japan and was visiting research fellow at private and governmental institutes in Japan.  From 2001 – 2006 he headed the economic and financial section at the Delegation of the European Commission to the US; and from 2007 – 2015 he was with the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission.  Mr. Bertoldi holds degrees from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris and Luigi Bocconi University in Milan.
