International Visitor Leadership Programmer Training

Have you always been curious about CIR’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and thought that you might make a good programmer, but weren’t sure of what would be involved? Have you wished that you had some additional background and guidance as to exactly what you would be required to do as an IVLP programmer? Have you thought you might make a fantastic host or guide to international visitors, but were shy about committing to something you don’t fully understand?

.

Would you like to hear a clear description of the process of preparing a program from beginning to end? Do you have special concerns, but were afraid to ask?

.

Why not join other seasoned and beginning programmers at the IVLP Training on Sunday, January 22 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the home of Zella Cox, CIR Board Member and IVLP Deputy Director?

.

Bring your questions, considerations and ideas and be prepared to engage in CIR’s “IVLP Programming 101” with Zella Cox and Herb Thomas, IVLP Director and CIR Board Member. Hear about the most successful and most challenging of IVLP programs, the variety of topics that international visitors come to study in the U.S., learn about local resources and make suggestions of your own.

.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP by January 15, 2012, to the CIR Office: 982-4931 or email: sfcir@newmexico.com. Directions to the home of Zella Cox will be provided upon RSVP.

.

Let us know in advance if you have any particular issues you would like us to address.

.

For additional information, please contact Herb Thomas, IVLP Director, at herb3thomas@earthlink.net or by phone 505-984-9834.
