When: Thursday, October 26th 2:00pm – 4:30pm
Where: Over Skype, Taos Pueblo will give a live presentation to students across Latin America
Who: High School students from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Honduras have spent a few weeks of this school year learning about preservation of heritage and communities in the United States. They have been using Taos Pueblo as a case study. Several hundred students are participating in this virtual conference from across Latin America; the U.S. embassies in these countries are heavily involved.
After listening to a presentation by Taos Pueblo leadership and representatives from the Tourism Office, students from all of these countries will share traditional dances, pre-recorded videos and projects about their cultures for one another.
